Founded by Frans Heesen in 1978 in Oss in the Netherlands, Heesen Yachts was the first Dutch shipyard to use an aluminum alloy for the construction of boat hulls. Since then, the company has become one of the world leaders in the design, engineering and construction of luxury aluminum motor yachts.

Collaboration in real time
The solutions offered by DASSAULT SYSTEMES have enabled HEESEN Yachts to stay at the cutting edge of innovation, and the various departments involved in a construction project (design, machining, and piping) can now work together in real time in one shared environment.
CATIA is used for the 3D design of the different parts of the yacht, allowing engineers to check that each piece integrates perfectly into the whole. DELMIA is used for the testing phase in a simulated production environment.
