This should be achieved as early as possible in the design process, so as to take into account and integrate the electrical system in the overall chain of electric cable design and manufacture.
Implementing an electrical PLM allows electrical design to be optimised using practices derived from standards and the company's experience, the physical reality of the functional model of the harness to be managed in its mechanical environment, and complete electrical information to be obtained regarding cable lengths, strand diameters, harness mass and centre of gravity.
