ADOPT V6 – Collaboration-Ready is a service product that enables you to put the tremendous capabilities of the V6 collaborative PLM platform to effective use in your operations. This proposal is the first in a portfolio of ADOPT V6 service products developed by Keonys around Dassault Systèmes V6 PLM solutions. It also forms the basis of the other service products.
ADOPT V6 – Collaboration-Ready lets you deploy an operational V6 PLM environment with parameters specifically designed for an identified area of your company’s business. This environment is built on a pre-configured database developed by Keonys. Using this database, we work with you to incorporate established business scenarios. In an iterative process, we adapt the operating units to find the best solution for your collaboration needs. At the end of the project you will have two key elements that will enable you to decide on deployment of the V6 platform: a configured V6 database and the benefits it brings.
Our ADOPT V6 products have the particular advantages of enabling your teams to master the V6 PLM platform rapidly and using an iterative approach to build on a pre-configured solution.
Preparatory Phase
Once the area of application has been established, the ADOPT V6 – Collaboration- Ready project requires an initial preparatory phase in which detailed specifications of the processes to be analysed on the V6 PLM landscape are drawn up.
- Training the project team
The project team needs to undergo initial training to learn the working vocabulary and gain an understanding of the processes used in the V6 PLM platform. - Identification of operational scenarios
In conjunction with the project team, we identify the operational scenarios covering the processes identified in the project’s area of application. These scenarios are segmented in basic blocks called “Use Cases”. The Keonys team then writes specifications describing these processes, their applications and the particular functions that will need to be demonstrated by the V6 PLM solution.
Implementation Phase
Once set up, the project proceeds to run each of the processes identified, demonstrating its feasibility and describing the results obtained by means of the V6 PLM platform.
- Setting up the PLM V6 environment
We put into place a representative V6 PLM environment pre-configured by Keonys. We then define its parameters to take into account the organisations and resources within the project’s area of application. - Running processes and adapting the environment
On this initial V6 PLM environment, we implement the applications defined in the previously prepared specification. Then, in an iterative manner, we fine-tune the parameters and make the modifications required to cover your operational requirements very precisely.
Transfer Phase
Once the modifications to your V6 PLM platform are completed, we transfer the results of the project to you: the configured platform, the relevant documentation, the identified benefits, and recommendations for going ahead with future deployment.
- Documentation
During the entire implementation phase, we monitor the PLM platform’s functional inputs and we update the user’s documentation. We also prepare documentation describing the modified data model and the installation documentation for the configured PLM environment. - Benefits
By comparing with your existing system, we work with you to demonstrate several benefits of the V6 PLM platform. These include areas such as productivity, improved IT administration, ease of use, improved functioning, enabling new uses, and data management. - Integration recommendations
We identify and specify the critical interfaces to be developed for the integration of your configured V6 PLM platform into your IT system. - Deployment recommendations
