About Multiplast
MULTIPLAST has been designing and producing multihulls and monohulls in high-tech composite materials since 1981.
A pioneer in the construction of boats in composite materials (carbon/epoxy), Multiplast is a worldwide reference for ocean racing records: Club Med, Orange, Geronimo, Groupama.
The combination – within the same company – of a naval architecture office (the Gilles Ollier Design Team) and a workshop of 4,500 m² devoted to the use of composite materials, makes it possible to adopt an overall professional approach.
Successfully implement new technology
KEONYS consultants have been supporting Multiplast for several years in its technological evolution and the adoption of PLM tools.
When Thales entrusted Multiplast with the design and manufacture of the very first carbon fiber radar antenna, the challenges involved were considerable:
- Integrate all of the development processes, from surface design, calculations and manufacturing to the definition of composite plies
- Reach out to new markets, beyond the shipbuilding market, by demonstrating a capacity to manage complex industrial projects
- Better manage development processes and lead times
